Meet the Instructors

InstructorMichelle Luster has been in the beauty industry for over 20 years.
She attended Elaine Stevens Beauty College where she received her license as a Nail technician and also as an instructor. She is a certified Massage Therapist as well.
She returned to Debado’s Hair Academy to obtain her cosmetology license. She decided, as a business owner of a full-service salon, it was important to know all areas of the beauty industry.
She opened Alternative Nail Salon and Spa and was an owner and operator for over 18 years. Her goal was to open the Alternative Beauty Academy immediately. However, her project was postponed as she put all her efforts into helping her husband develop their ministry and open their church.
Now that the ministry has blossomed and thrived for over 15 years, Michelle went back to fulfill her dream of opening the Beauty College, which is now Alternative Beauty Academy.

InstructorTrina Henderson has mastered the field of cosmetology for over 25 years. She continued her education to become an instructor. She relocated to the state of Texas to further her education and master her craft in the beauty industry.
She is not only licensed as a lash extension technician, but she is also licensed to teach lash extensions and permanent makeup. She was led to return to Saint Louis with the desire to share her passion with individuals seeking to become cosmetologists.
She then reconnected with now business partner Michelle to open the Alternative Beauty Academy. So now we're here!
